the journey...
I am a strategic Human Resources leader, a Clinical Psychology doctoral candidate, a published author, and an advocate for cultural competence, personal growth, and mental health awareness. My career reflects an interdisciplinary commitment to understanding human behavior, strengthening organizations, and empowering individuals to achieve meaningful personal and professional growth.
My origins include learning from a single mother and an entrepreneur, from whom I gained valuable insight in adolescence, contributing to my systemic and strategic approach to development. With more than a decade of experience in Human Resources, I have progressed through roles in benefits and compensation, talent acquisition, workforce development, organizational leadership, and strategic consulting. My experience spans healthcare, oil and gas, retail, nonprofit, public sector, and consulting environments. My career accomplishments include, but are not limited to, securing a $740,000 workforce development grant, developing strategic talent initiatives, improving operational processes, and supporting organizational effectiveness through evidence-based workforce strategies.
My professional practice integrates my education in business and psychology, applying principles of Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology to inform strategic HR management, leadership development, employee engagement, organizational culture, and workforce planning. By integrating psychological insights with business strategy, I work toward advancing people-centered approaches that support organizational success and employee well-being.
Building upon my MBA, Master of Science in Psychology, and a semester studying abroad in the United Kingdom at the University of London, I am currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Walden University. My doctoral research, Assessing Implicit Bias in Clinical Psychology Practice: The Role of Case Management in Public Mental Health Services, reflects my commitment to equitable mental health practices and improved access to psychological services. My long-term vision includes advocating for and helping establish free mental health programs and clinics serving underserved and diverse communities.
Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I write and publish creative work. Through my platform, AudriWrites, I simplify the science of psychology to address everyday challenges involving self-esteem, self-worth, body image, emotional wellness, personal development, and relationships. My writing bridges psychological insight and creative expression to encourage greater self-awareness, compassion, and understanding.
Guided by my mission "to motivate, encourage, support, spread love, and provoke conscious thought into the lives of many," I remain committed to strengthening organizations, advancing mental health awareness, and inspiring meaningful change.
